Technical expertise in hydraulics

Water in hydraulic oil? Effective filtration helps!

Hydraulic oil is not just any old operating medium. As an important part of the machine, hydraulic oil is crucially significant to the design, operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems.

HOW TO – Replacement intervals and operating conditions

The replacement intervals of hydraulic components largely depend on the operating conditions. Our HOW TO is your guide.

Buying hydraulic oil – now also in practical 5-litre canisters

Hydraulic oil is essential for the safe operation of presses, injection moulding machines and construction machinery. But what should you look for when choosing hydraulic oil, how long can it be stored and what is the right container size?

Have you recognised it?

The cover page of the current issue shows the press head of the hose press with the angle scale for determining the ‘K’ and ‘V’ twist angles of the press fittings.

Service technician positioning a hose line in the press head of the 315-tonne hose press. 420 bar 6-spiral hoses can be assembled with this powerful press up to DN40. In the area of 1- and 2-layer braided hoses, even up to 3" (DN76).

The equipment in the hydraulic service container has been precisely tailored to the requirements of the construction site. All machines are designed for the production of large 1 ½" (DN40) 6-layer 420 bar high-pressure hoses for demolition excavators. Hose cleaning and DIN/EN/ISO marking included. Of course, the large cutting machine is equipped with a powerful extraction system to keep the work area odour-free, thus offering significantly better working conditions for employees. The comprehensive documentation of work and production instructions supports the service technicians in their daily work and guarantees the high quality demanded by HANSA‑FLEX.
