Expertise for the rail cargo behemoths

When top-class automobiles are transported by rail, this is often done in closed freight waggons. Since 2017 HANSA‑FLEX Fluid Service has been supporting the RailMaint works in Delitzsch with the overhaul of 54-metre-long DB Cargo automobile transport waggons. Their complex electrohydraulic systems need to be flushed and serviced regularly.

Worldwide Success

Over 35 years ago Thomas Armerding, Chairman of the Management Board, founded the first subsidiary abroad. HANSA‑FLEX is now represented in 40 countries worldwide. Tim Ollendorf, Head of Business Development Management at HANSA‑FLEX, and his team are responsible for supporting our foreign subsidiaries. Have you recognised it?

The cover of the current issue shows the crimping tool of one of our hydraulic hose crimping machines, with a prepared hose line already inserted for the crimping process. During the process the frame is moulded to a defined diameter using eight crimping jaws. With PTFE corrugated hoses, this is done in several steps.

During the crimping process for a PTFE corrugated hose, the hose is crimped in defined steps, depending on the nominal diameter and the type of fitting used, until the required crimping dimension is reached, with simultaneous rotation of the hose line between the individual steps.
